Where are you based?

Originally from Staffordshire and now living in Buckinghamshire (just outside London). I’ve lived down this ‘neck of the woods’ for 20 years but still my ‘Southern’ friends say I carry the ‘Midlands Twang’, but then my ‘Midlands’ friends say I sound like a cockney - confused? Me too.

What‘s the easiest way to get hold of you?

Thanks to my beloved iPhone (did I really say that?) I’m contactable pretty much all the time; email, text or even a simple phone call is fine. If I’m on a shoot then I may not be able to answer your call, but if you leave your details I’ll always get back to you.

How far will you travel for a Photography job?

If there’s a means of getting there, I’ll go there. Last year (2008) I travelled around the UK and abroad; from Photo Shoots in Windsor, Portrait shoots in Gibraltar and Commercial work in Croatia. Obviously the further afield I go, then there are travel expenses and accomodation to consider.

Do you use a Studio?

No, all my shoots are done ‘on location’. This helps to keep my business costs down, but then saying that I do have access to a studio if the shoot requires it. I’m always on the look-out for new and interesting locations: derelict buildings, beaches, woodland ... the more variety the better.

How and why did you get into Photography?

I’m guessing it’s around 6 years ago, I got introduced to Adobe Photoshop and quickly became hooked. I ended up going on courses in America and taking exams to become an Adobe Certified Expert (A.C.E.). I then began editing other photographers’ work and it was this that naturally led me into photography.

Who are your biggest influences?

Having spent time studying in the United States my biggest influences come from American Photographers. Names like Joe McNally, Zack Arias and Chase Jarvis immediately spring to mind. Other photographers who's work I look to for inspiration include the likes of: Drew Gardner, Guido Argentini, and Michael Grecco.

Do you use Social Networking sites like Facebook and Twitter?

Sure do. You can find me on Facebook, Twitter and I also have a Flickr page where in addition to my blog (see menu at top of page), you'll be able to see some of my latest work.

Tell me something else about you?

Ok, well at the time of writing this I'm 37 years old...married to Anne my beautiful wife, no children but 2 cats and 4 chickens ... so far. I'm very much into keeping fit and weight training and used to compete at Bodybuilding. My personality is one that doesn't allow me to be complacent i.e. I'm always pushing myself to do better and not be just an 'Average Joe'. I'm a Nikon and a Mac user. I feel blessed to have some incredible friends who I know would be there at the drop of a hat (you know who you are guys). I guess I could keep writing but for fear of going on, why not check out my blog or join me on Facebook/Twitter where you'll be able to find out more ... see you there ;o)
