Thought I’d end the week with one more new picture which is one that I photographed whilst presenting on the LIVE STAGE at The Photography Show last week at the NEC, Birmingham…
The picture is that of my friend Mac McBride who very kindly agreed to join me on stage whilst I talked about my lighting style.
You can see the set up in the pictures below…
Making use of a small section of grey painted wall for the background and for lighting using an Elinchrom ELB 400 and the 135cm Rotaulx Octa Softbox.
You can see from the photographs above the angle, height and also to some extent how far forward of Mac the light was placed to enable me to light one side of his face and have the other side in shadow albeit for a pattern of light on his cheek and under his eye.
