I genuinely love what I do, but in all the years I’ve been involved in this industry, with the development, convenience and quality of Mobile Photography and the Mobile Workflow, I’ve never been as excited about Photography as I am right now.

KIT / GEAR I CURRENTLY USE

This is one of the many things I REALLY love about going out and taking photographs with my mobile device (iPhone) … minimal kit and incredibly light and portable.

The Mobile Workflow is so incredibly convenient and continues to get better and better.

Having the ability to take photographs using my iPhone and then almost immediately view them on the larger screen of my iPad is so good. Also being able to look through images, sort them and even make some edits in Lightroom which then sync back to the desktop version is fantastic!

My FAVOURITE MOBILE PHOTOGRAPHY APPS

In addition to the built in camera app on my iPhone, there’s 3 apps in particular (made by ReeFlex) that I use all the time when taking photographs. ReeXpose is their Raw Long Exposure App which I use with a tripod and can be used to capture long exposures from 0.5 seconds all the way to Bulb Mode. ReeHeld is an incredible app for creating hand-held long expsoures from 1 seconds to 30 seconds and currently produces JPEGs. Becuase of how each of them work, neither require the need for any ND (Neutral Density) filters regardless of how long of a long exposure you want.

With the Moment Pro Camera app you can alter pretty much all of the settings you would on a regular camera (except for Aperture) and do a whole lot more like burst mode, separate focus and exposure lock, exposure bracketing and so it goes on.

my favourite editing apps

Lightroom Mobile on both my iPhone and my iPad works so incredibly well receiving constant updates and improvements with the editing tools available and the way it seamlessly syncs across all devices.

Photoshop on the iPad is also a great app although at the moment it is somewhat limited compared to what is available in the desktop version. It does prove to be very useful though when wanting to work on some edits when away from the desktop or access to a laptop. It also syncs seamlessly between Lightroom on the iPad.
